Point of Service insurance

In short, Point of service insurance is called POSs. POS plans work just like PPOs(preferred provider organizations plans), but it require you to have a primary care physician or doctor through whom you may receive referrals for specialists if you need. Suppose, you have to see a dermatologist or a neurologist or any other specialist, then you must first visit your primary care physician for an initial checkup. After that you may receive a referral from your primary doctor or physician to a specialist for a more thorough diagnosis. This way you may get the best health support because of the referrals.

Point of service insurance plans also have a preferred provider network. If you choose to visit a specialist or physician outside that network, your coverage will be limited. This is the another advantage of POSs.
